Johnson Matthey Battery Systems has a 25-year company history. The company develops, designs and produce advanced lithium-ion battery systems for various applications such as e-bikes, AGVs & AMRs, industrial cleaning equipment and power tools. The production facility is located in Gliwice in the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSSE) in Poland.
As part of the takeover, Johnson Matthey Battery Systems will have to be renamed. In order to maintain proximity to the established brand, the company will now operate under the name EMBS.
The takeover was completed on 01.05.2024.
